Tragedy...

Dear God,

Today was our first day back to church as a big family. It was truly such a beautiful service! The message was about overcoming tragedy, no matter what it is. The thing i found so beautifully said was that through the tragedy beautiful things happen.

As any other person typically, during the tragic event it is difficult to remember and tell ourselves "beauty will be the outcome". At the end of my tribulations, there is something beautiful that happens. I am so grateful for that. Obviously, I don't mean to say i'm glad the horrible things happen. But if they didn't happen we/I wouldn't have the beauty that came with it, and it only came with it because of said tragedy. For example, my mom isn't and wasn't the most fit parent to my siblings and I. As a result we have shared traumas. Yet, the beauty of all that:

1. We are so much stronger mentally and emotionally.

2. Having the example we did. We get to decide to live a better life.

3. I am my brothers guardian, now.

Truly my heart hurts because I feel like we deserved better, but at least we had a mom. But in all honesty, I'm so grateful my husband and I are able to have my brother with us and try our best to give him a better example and provide a better life. All said and done. He will be the beauty that comes out of this tragedy.

We will be the beauty of this tragic upbringing.

The only way I KNOW for a fact we got out with our head on right and our hearts in the right place is because of, YOU My Lord. Thank you for always looking out for us. Thank you for your endless favor and mercy on our lives. Thank you for making us the way you did.

We are overcomers.

Deuteronomy 31:6,8 Be strong and bold; have no fear or dread of them, because it is the Lord your God who goes before you. He will be with you; he will not fail you or forsake you. Do not fear or be dismayed.

My Lord, may you continue to protect us from all harm, all evil, any thing and anyone. May you guide us in the direction you will us to be. May your will be done, not mine. May we all be overcomers. Through you Christ, My God all things can be done. May we have the wisdom to decide the path to righteousness. May we have you favor, your grace My Lord in everything we do. May we always feel your Love, Favor and presence in our lives.

In Jesus name,

Amen!!
