Dear God,

Today 23 years ago you gifted this world with an angel who I've had the pleasure of growing up with and seeing her transform into the beautiful woman she is today. Growing up she was so sweet and smart! Not having the greatest upbringing, she has overcome any obstacle that's been thrown her way.

I read about Mephibosheth (muh·fi·buh·sheth) and his story somewhat reminded me of this wonderful woman. He was in line for the throne , but his life turned out an entirely different way. He ended up in a totally different situation, as a young boy he was dropped and then couldn't walk anymore, at the time the city he lived in was one of the poorest cities. This was the result of someone else's mistake. Finally king David thought about his good friend Jonathan, Mephibosheth's father. Well turned out king David wanted for him to live with him and eat dinner with him every night, and he was given back his family's land. Moral of the story, no matter what you didn't have the Lord will always give you what was promised to you, for your life.

I have learned over the years that, we aren't given battles we cannot handle. We will never face the pressure we weren't designed to bare, because no matter the pressure we will reach new heights. This woman is a perfect example of it in my eyes. She has had her share of trials and tribulations, things that anyone would ask "why did this have to happen though?" I'm sure at one point she asked that question... but she didn't allow other people's mistakes hold her back. She didn't grow up to be a person blaming her bad habits on the traumas she endured. Instead she has used them as fuel. Fuel to be better and do something different with her life.

The woman I am talking about is my sister. She is truly such an inspiration. I don't know what or who I would be today, without her. I thank you God everyday for letting me have her as my sister and built in best friend. I remember so many funny, beautiful things of us growing up. We know each other, our true selves. I have known her for a life time and met so many different versions of her. Thank you for allowing me to know and have such a wonderful woman and role model.

I believe and declare, she will know and come to see all the promises you have for her life Lord. May your everlasting love and favor be on her life. May you continue to bless her Lord, with great health, love, memories and may you protect her. Protect her heart, mind, spirit, and soul always!

Thank you for her 23 years of life!! Thank you for my sister Lord!!
